Questions about around the house vocabulary

What household items should ESL students learn first?
Start with the things you use from morning to night: bed, table, door, window and key. Then move to comfort words like sofa, pillow and blanket. This order matches what you actually touch at home, so the words stick faster.
How can I practice household vocabulary without flashcards?
Walk through your home and name five objects in each room out loud, such as lamp, mirror, shelf and drawer. Touch each object as you say the word, because action strengthens memory. Repeat the walk the next day and add three new items.
What is the difference between wardrobe and closet?
A closet is a small storage space built into the wall, common in American homes, while a wardrobe is a piece of furniture with doors that stands in the room. Both hold clothes. If you learn American English, closet is the word you will hear more often.
